Food allergies constitutes a growing public health concern and epidemic that has drastically increased over the past 20 years, particularly among United States children. About 32 million people in the Unites states have food allergies and each year  200,000 people require emergency medical care for allergic reactions to food. According to the CDC, 8% of children in the United States suffer from food allergies – that’s1 in 13 children, or about two students per classroom.

As millions of lives and families are impacted by this concerning epidemic that is drastically growing, it is imperative that parents and other individuals learn the history, understand the science, and hear from a family physician who has extensive experience in treating patients whose lives are adversely impacted by food allergies and their potentially life-threatening implications.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. serves as President of Waterkeeper Alliance, as well as Founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Legal Counsel for Children’s Health Defense, and of counsel to Morgan & Morgan, a nationwide personal injury practice.

Mr. Kennedy is an esteemed author, with a long list of published books including the New York Times’ bestseller, “Crimes Against Nature.” Mr. Kennedy was named one of Time magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet” for his success helping Riverkeeper lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. His reputation as a resolute defender of the environment and children’s health stems from a litany of successful legal actions. He received recognition for his role in the landmark victory against Monsanto last year, as well as in the DuPont Case that inspired the movie “Dark Waters” (2019).

Dr. James Neuenschwander (a.k.a. Dr. Neu) founded the Bio Energy Medical Center, which is a multidisciplinary, integrative medical practice located in Ann Arbor, MI. Since the formation of his practice in 1988, he has treated children and adults with complex, chronic health problems that have not responded to conventional therapies and he strives to promote wellness through prevention. He also founded and is the co-owner of Creating Brighter Futures, an ABA center, located in Ann Arbor, MI.
Dr. Neu graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree, in the honors program in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan in 1981 and went on to receive his Medical Degree in 1985. After graduation, he completed three years of a surgical residency at the University of Michigan before leaving voluntarily to pursue a career in integrative medicine.

He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Integrative and Holistic Medicine, as well as Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

His approach consists of searching for and remediating root causes. Dr. Neu’s patients frequently experience significant improvements by exploring and modifying diet and nutrition, toxic load factors, allergies and sensitivities, hormones and psychological influences. He also regularly teaches Continuing Medical Educations courses on children’s health issues to physicians and other health professionals. And he has lectured, nationally and internationally, on a broad range of topics including the gut-brain-immune system and brain connections, integrative approaches to immune system imbalances/disorders; detoxification; treatment of complex chronic illness, and the integrative medicine treatment of autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and allergies.
