National and Local Updates for the Week of December 12th

Legislative victories in Ohio! CHD Ohio and other non-profit organizations rallied to successfully educate legislators about two concerning bills that would have revoked Ohioans health freedom and educational rights. S.B. 178 would have granted all major policy decisions of the partially elected state Board of Ed to a new non-elected cabinet agency under the sole authority of Governor; thereby, removing all elected representation and parental voice on all regulations affecting public and private schools and home education. It was voted down on the House floor this past Monday. H.B. 496 would have created criminal status for midwives with loss of freedoms for childbearing families and practicing midwives by disallowing the practice of midwifery unless the individual would have held a license controlled by the State, allowing the pharmaceutical industry and other special interest groups advocating for the passage of the bill to dictate Ohio families birthing choices. Thankfully, it lost the votes needed to pass both Chambers and was therefore completely stalled.

*Breaking News!* Desantis Holds a COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Accountability Roundtable: Florida Governor Ron Desantis said he will petition state’s Supreme Court to impanel a grand jury “to investigate any and all wrong doings in Florida with respect to the COVID-19 vaccines” and “bring accountability” to anyone who committed “misconduct”. DeSantis stated that Florida will hold the medical establishment accountable by creating a Grand Jury to investigate mRNA shots & Big Pharma, investigating cardiac-related deaths tied to the mRNA vaccine, and forming a Public Health Integrity Committee to oversee the medical establishment. Florida Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo announced that they will be studying the incidence in surveillance of myocarditis within a few weeks of COVID-19 vaccination for people who died.
