CHD-Ohio Chapter has joined forces with Soda Farm to host a lively book discussion at the farm on Friday, Nov. 18th at 7:00 p.m. ET. Everyone is welcome to join the FREE event and participate in the book discussion that offers a welcoming environment for camaraderie, fresh sodas, delicious pastries and an opportunity to understand the depth of the book’s content in preparation for engagements with the legislature, other elected officials and members of the community at large. First RSV Emergency Declared as Pfizer and GSK Race to Get Vaccines Approved! This month, Southern California’s Orange County Health Department declared a local health emergency with respect to the rising number of pediatric cases of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in children. This is following news that Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline are close to seeking approval for new RSV vaccines. CHD Rutgers Lawsuit Moves Forward, as Rutgers Announces Trial With Pfizer on COVID Vaccines for Kids Under 5: On Monday, Children’s Health Defense filed a summary of its appeal in a lawsuit against Rutgers University over their COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Last week, Rutgers announced it will recruit children under age 5 for a joint trial with Pfizer for its pediatric COVID-19 bivalent vaccine. Stop COVID Mandates for School! Please Continue to Take Action and SHARE! We need to continue to take action following the ACIP vote and the impending threat for many states to mandate COVID jab for school. There are two things we can all do to stop this. First, we need to demand CDC and elected officials protect our children from COVID-19 mandates. Next, we should be reaching out to our own school district’s superintendent, and state’s education commissioner to plead for their intercession on behalf of our children. We need parents rising up! Let’s make clear to the superintendent and commissioner that state exemptions are not enough and that parents will pull their child from school if this vaccine is mandated for attendance, costing the district tens of thousands of dollars in funding. Parents hold the power — don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
