National and Local Updates for the Week of September 19th

Legislative Update: The Ohio 134th General Assembly was supposed to resume session this month but according to legislators, “It was deemed unnecessary,” so the legislature will not be reconvening until mid-November. If anything changes in that respect, CHD Ohio will be sure to keep you posted. However, constituents are still able to contact and encouraged to meet with their respective legislators within district for educational and advocacy purposes. It is also important to note that once the legislative session resumes for the culmination of the 134th General Assembly this year, a lot of bills tend to be quickly pushed through lame duck season, which means that we must remain vigilant to ensure our fundamental human rights and freedoms are preserved. The following link will enable you to search and track legislations by entering key words, or specific bill numbers. We must remain vigilant not only in respect to current legislation that may be pushed through but also amendments to bills that may be sneaked in last minute, as we have often seen in the past and actively advocated to educate our legislators about such concerning languages to preserve Ohioans rights. Hospital COVID Protocols – Legal and Policy Recourse Courtesy of FLCCC: Please watch and share the video from the FLCCC interview on Wednesday night, to summon the support needed to demand investigations into these cases. “A hospital has a choice — earn as little as a few thousand dollars for a COVID outpatient, or admit the patient and earn hundreds of thousands for a non-complex COVID inpatient, and up to almost half a million for a complex case. You might say the hospitals are making a killing! Last night it was time to find out whether the law was on our side or the hospitals’ side. If you missed last week’s FLCCC webinar, you can watch it here. Betsy Ashton hosted special guests Lori Bontell and attorneys Jeff Childers and Shawn McBride. Lori shared her heartbreaking fight against hospital protocol for her sister, Karen Mikalonis. Her sister tragically lost her fight, but Lori is still fighting legally for her sister and every one of us. It is a tough legislative battle because the crux of it is, as Lori shared, “The immunity that’s given to the hospital is only given if they follow the CDC protocol. The hospitals know that they get this immunity, so they won’t budge from it.” It is precisely this reason why CHD-OH has strongly advocated to educate Ohio’s legislative body about the importance of House Bill 632. Biden Declares ‘Pandemic Is Over.’ Prompting Calls for End to ‘Absurd’ Vaccine Mandates, Federal Health Emergency: President Joe Biden’s September 18th statement that the COVID-19 pandemic is “over” prompted questions about why his administration hasn’t ended the federal public health emergency and how the government or employers can continue to mandate Emergency Use Authorization vaccines. Big Win for Kids! Louisiana Repeals COVID Vaccine Mandate for Schools: The Louisiana Department of Health on Tuesday rescinded its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the state’s schoolchildren, prompting Attorney General Jeff Landry to file a motion to dismiss his lawsuit against Governor John Bel Edwards. Reignite Freedom’s Global Walkout: This past Sunday, the third step ‘Reignite MSN’ was announced by Dan Astrin-Gregory. This step of the Global Walkout is to unsubscribe from all mainstream media outlets. Delete the apps from your phone, laptop and tablet and unfollow all of their social media and Youtube channels. Try to avoid mainstream media for at least one week, even if the headline is intriguing. Download this handout explaining why we should break up with mainstream media. You can use these points as a way to start conversations with strangers, friends and family. Be sure to share far and wide within all of your networks and on social media so that this very important campaign can reach the masses! Please Take Action and Keep Sharing our EMR Action Alert and Education + Awareness Campaign: Find resources and campaign materials to take action against the rollout of 5G and support CHD’s ongoing advocacy efforts. Learn about how to limit electromagnetic radiation exposure from wireless technology at home, school, work and in public. A variety of educational handouts, guides and memes are available to spread awareness and education on this topic. More and more 5G and small cell towers are going up on school properties without any safety testing. Children are especially vulnerable to effects from RF radiation. This has got to stop. Recommended Guidelines for Social Posts: Draw a colored box or line over words such as “vaccine”, Pfizer, Moderna, Covid, Omicron, etc if you have them in your graphics. Also be sure to use the word “shot” in your text posts/captions and try to use different characters for words, such as v@x or v@seen now as the AI is picking up the keywords that are using other characters. We recommend not posting on Facebook any vaccine related content as the CHD page is periodically not allowed to post due to vaccine (and even mask) related articles after which FB removes the post. If you do post, maybe tone it down or post less often.
